Scott J. Chandler Scholarship
The scholarship is awarded annually to a BOMA Idaho member working in commercial real estate to attend BOMA International’s Annual Conference & Expo (annual summer event). The scholarship covers registration plus $500 to be used toward other costs (travel, hotel, etc.).
Eligibility
Only current, active members of BOMA Idaho are eligible. A current, active BOMA Idaho member is defined as a BOMA member working full-time in a commercial real estate related position for a minimum of one year and actively attend and participate in BOMA luncheons, meetings, and activities. Must be a current, dues paying member of BOMA Idaho for a minimum of one year.
Application Procedures
Please submit the following in pdf format to BOMA International no later than April 30 each year. Please combine all documents into one pdf:
Cover letter (no more than 2 pages) that includes your full name and contact information and the following information:
Why you are interested in the scholarship?
Brief description of your career goals
What you hope to learn/participate at the BOMA Conference & Expo and how it will impact your work/career.
Letter of recommendation from your employer (no more than 1 page) that verifies at least one year of employment.
Confirmation from your BOMA local association that you are a BOMA member and are in good standing. Must be a member of BOMA for a minimum of one (1) year and attend monthly luncheons regularly (at least 75% of scheduled meetings/activities per year).
Copy of your resume, including education and work history.

All applications must be received no later than April 30.
Other Requirements
Scholarship winner(s) will be provided with a complimentary conference registration, but recipient is responsible for making their own hotel and travel arrangements. Winner(s) required to attend entire conference, provide feedback/highlights to local Scholarship Committee (written) on your experience, and share a testimonial (at a monthly luncheon/social media.)
