The Annual BOMA Idaho Commercial Real Estate Development Case Competition challenges college students to analyze and present a hypothetical commercial real estate project on a real site. Participants demonstrate their ability to tackle real-world issues, apply financial and market analysis, and propose innovative strategies to enhance the development’s value and sustainability.

Competition Format

Assemble Your Team
Students form teams of 3 to 5 members, representing a hypothetical national commercial real estate development firm.
Competition materials will be transmitted to the teams on Friday, October 31st.

Conceptualize the Project
Conduct a comprehensive project analysis, definition and program, establish a strategic asset management plan, and design a well-structured exit strategy.
Q&A with Krisjan Hiner, WSP, on Friday, November 7th.

Present
Deliver an in-person presentation of the project to the judging panel, with the objective of securing financing and addressing any questions.
Live presentations will be in Boise, Idaho on Saturday, December 6th.
Participation Application
Teams are to consist of 3-5 members and a maximum of one faculty or professional advisor.
Undergraduate students from all majors with a passion for commercial real estate are encouraged to participate.
